A FEW DETAILS

Good questions.
Clear answers.

A lilac Proxling courier ready to help
What do I need to get started?

A Proxling web account and an assistant you already use. Sign in, connect your assistant and approve its first task. Use the web app on your phone or computer to read conversations, take over and manage access. The CLI is optional.

Can my agent give itself permission?

No. Connecting an assistant does not authorise it to contact anyone. It can propose a task, but you approve the contacts, channels, limits and expiry before it can send. New tasks and wider access need owner approval. The same rules apply through MCP, the CLI and browser access.

Do I need a code for every task or message?

You approve a task in Proxling with your passkey. Follow-ups within that task’s permissions do not need repeated codes. New connections and wider access need your confirmation. Your Proxling number and task inbox are not used to verify your owner login.

Does the number make and answer calls?

Pro includes two-way SMS and cloud voicemail with transcripts. Quiet mode routes calls to voicemail before your handset rings. Your assistant follows up through an approved email or SMS channel. If the next step needs a live call, you take it from there.

What happens when I want to take over?

Pause automation for that conversation before replying. Queued actions are checked again before sending. You can keep a chosen supplier active, close the other enquiries and mute their updates. Inbound history stays. Closing a task does not remove your details from a supplier’s records.

Can it handle verification?

For supported, low-risk tasks you started, yes—with permission for the named service and active session, or your one-step approval. Codes stay out of messages, notifications and analytics. Personal logins, banking, payments, account recovery, identity checks and CAPTCHA need a secure manual path.

What if a message is unclear or the task cannot finish?

You see what happened and what needs your input. Unmatched callbacks stay available for review; a phone number alone does not prove who called. If a task cannot finish, it says so. A sent request is never shown as a confirmed booking.

What changes if I use the eSIM?

You can receive SMS and reply from a supported handset on the same Proxling number. The complete task history stays in Proxling. Agent-sent messages do not automatically appear as sent bubbles in your native messaging app, and cloud voicemail is separate from native Visual Voicemail. SMS does not include iMessage or RCS.

Your main SIM keeps working. The default outgoing line, call routing and native message notifications are separate settings. The eSIM has no general mobile-data allowance.

Do I lose my identity if I pause or change assistants?

No. Pausing or revoking assistant access is separate from retiring an address or cancelling a number. Before retirement, check the accounts and recovery routes that depend on the identity and confirm the change. Your task history and basic export are included on every plan.

What is the early-access offer?

Early list members get one month of Pro free at launch, including the Pro email, SMS and voicemail allowances. eSIM activation is charged separately.
